What is our Rainbow Relay Run?

Come along and run with us at our debut Rainbow Relay Run on Wednesday 19th June at 6:15pm and help us celebrate LEAP Scotland's Festival Fortnight.

We'll be meeting on the grass pitch in front of Linx Ice Arena from 6:15pm. One of our club jog leads will lead the group through a warm up routine to begin with. We'll split into groups of 3 people, where each person in the group will complete an approx 700m loop of the grass pitch 4 times, passing the baton to a teammate after each loop. With each team consisting of 3 people, each runner will therefore be running just under 3km in total, with each team completing almost 9km collectively. If there are any new runners joining us, we'll ensure one of our club jog leads or club runners is in your team should you wish to run less laps.

The Rainbow Run Relay is a fun and inclusive event that is open to everyone - all running abilities are welcome. This is an open and free event and is perfect if it's your first time joining us!  Our club commitee will be organising teams on the day, but runners are welcome to come ready with their own 3 person teams. As its a Rainbow Relay Run, runners are encouraged to come dressed as brightly and as a bold as they feel comfortable.

Please come ready to run. If you have any valuables you'd like to secure we will have a secure bag drop and there are also toilets available in Linx Ice Arena.
